I have written professionally for five years, providing businesses and non-profits with research and copy for publications, in-house correspondence, and technical reports. I have also provided pieces on a freelance basis for a number of small start-up businesses, and have published pieces in small e-zines, college newspapers, and locally distributed publications. Below are narratives of specific job duties:

In my position as Assistant Editor for the First Amendment Observer, I propelled the newspaper from an obscure campus paper to a sought after monthly publication with wide distribution. While managing a team of writers, copyediting, and proofreading, I also wrote a controversial column on love, sex, and relationships a la Sex and the City.

While interning for the Annie E. Casey Foundation, I researched, drafted and amended copy for publications with nationwide distribution, wrote press releases, and was responsible for office communications and correspondence.
